Apex is our major annual fundraiser that typically funds all of our annual expenses for the following school year.

How it works: Apex is a two-week long event beginning with a school pep rally, positive messages from the Apex crew each day, then culminates with a special event, such as a *Fun Run. Students receive their own online pledging platform and are asked to collect pledges from family and friends over the two weeks. PLEDGE = A promise or agreement to do something. Family and friends pledge either a flat donation or per *lap donation (i.e. $1 per *lap or $5 per *lap). Apex provides a maximum number of *laps, so donors know their donation won't exceed a certain amount. The students earn prizes for their pledges. On the day of the *Fun Run, students will *run the *laps and volunteers keep track of how many they do. The donors' pledges will then be finalized and credit cards will be charged according to how many *laps were performed by their student.

*Some years prior, Meadows has held other Apex events like Remix, where the pledges were measured in fitness moves versus laps. We also held a Kindness event, where students performed acts of kindness. An obstacle course is also an option.
